Number 17: Learn to play a new instrument

A number of friends suggested this as an activity. I had suggestions of playing the bagpipes, however I didn't think that would be too practical. I tossed around a few other ideas, including didgeridoo and harmonica. Finally I decided that I should pick up the bass ukulele that I purchased several years ago. I have been able to avoid playing it at ukulele club, simply because Tony Urbanski fell in love with it, played mine for a while, then purchased his own. We miss the bass when Tony is unable to be there, so I decided it was time to dust mine off and learn to play it. I am coming along, needed to refer to the cheat sheet less often, and starting to add a little variety to my playing. It's a hoot!
