Number 42: Quading and Fishing - An Adventure with Darren and Laura

Darren and Laura invited me to go fishing with them at McFadden Falls on Thanksgiving Day. Darren also offered to let me shoot a gun. This helped me get two things off my list in one day.
It was quite the adventure. We didn't get started as early as we expected. Darren and Laura picked me up around 3:30 p.m. We reached our parking spot and were ready to head out on the quads around 5:30.
The ride to the river was beautiful. I borrowed Nicole's quad and got to drive it alone. I did fairly well, other than getting hung up on a muddy ridge at one point. Thankfully Darren came to my rescue. After this adventure, I again marvel at how beautiful our region is. We truly are blessed to live in this amazing location.
Fishing was a bust. By the time we arrived at the river, it was getting too late to put the canoe in. We were still able to try to cast a few times from the shore. Unfortunately the fishing line broke. That put an end to our fishing. Darren wants to take me out again another day. I'm looking forward to it.
