Number 48: Take Part in a Smudging Ritual

Today we began Phase 1 of work to rule. All teachers had to meet outside 15 minutes before the bell to walk into the school in solidarity. One of our teachers is Indigenous and wanted to share a smudging prior to us going in. It was a wonderful, calming and cleansing experience. It really helped to set tone for the day. What a pleasure to experience.
